One-on-One Coaching

The popularity of coaching today is a testament to its ability to make a difference.  Coaching is effective because it helps people to gain clarity and sense of purpose, set clear and appropriate goals, challenges them to do more than they might have done on their own, and provides support, encouragement, resources, and insight to achieve goals faster.

At Carson-Clark Careers, we work one-on-one with adults of all ages to help them create career and personal goals.  The coaching process includes personal reflection, feedback and discussion, gaining perspective, teaching, planning, exercises, wisdom, resources, massive doses of encouragement, and an occasional nudge to get moving.

Regular, consistent contact provides individuals with the structure and support they need from career experts who truly care and want them to be successful.  Having spent years working with executives, we are uniquely equipped to help others avoid pitfalls and launch successful, meaningful, satisfying careers.

Outcomes

  • Clarity about life and career direction, values, and priorities
  •  A sense of empowerment to take control of their lives and their careers in a positive manner
  • Personal growth, development, and greater sense of purpose
  • A concrete, tactical action plan designed to achieve goals

Most participants report positive change in their outlook and confidence within a matter of weeks.  Long-term, sustained, positive change requires a serious commitment and investment of time; on average, it takes six weeks to two months to define a career vision and another three to four months to make significant headway in the job search.  Most one-on-one coaching relationships last approximately six months.

We adhere to the professional coaching standards and code of ethics of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the State Licensure Board of Texas for licensed professional counselors.
